Thursday Drops: Planner Season Is Upon Us! Wonderland222, MD Product Journals and More

It’s October, and “Planner Season” has officially arrived. Our allocation of Wonderland222 planners and notebooks is now live and available for purchase online and in-store. The 2027 lineup of planners and notebooks features 52gsm Tomoe River Paper, and we have stocked the 576-page All-in-One models as well as the slimmer “Core” planners. Grid Tomoe River notebooks are also available.

Our T.G.S.-exclusive Tono & Lims inks have now arrived, and remain available for purchase though stock in this initial shipment is dwindling. 1. Wonderland222 Planners and Notebooks. For the past year, I’ve been using a Wonderland222 A5 Core Planner as my primary analog “brain”, and I love it. We currently stock several different formats of Wonderland222 Planners in A5, B6, and A6 sizes, along with their notebooks. This year all Wonderland222 Planners use 52gsm Tomoe River Paper.

2. MD Product Dot Grid Notebooks. We really stocked up on the MD Product Dot Journals! These are back in stock to cover all the bullet journalers who love this particular format.

3. MD Product Natural Undyed Goat Leather Covers. Looking for a long-lasting leather cover that will age gracefully through many years of MD notebooks? We have the MD Product Leather covers available in multiple sizes, including A5.

4. Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter BS_20 in A4 and A6. While A5 remains the most popular Roterfaden size, we have been receiving an increased number of requests for the large A4 and smaller A6 sizes. The small A6 was once a standard model in Roterfaden’s lineup but has been scaled back in recent years.

5. T.G.S. Classic Burgundy and Black Shimmer Tono & Lims Exclusive Inks. We’re excited to announce that we now have our own house inks! Classic Burgundy is the dark red I’ve always wanted in my own collection but have been unable to find, and Black Shimmer adds dark red shimmer to a nuanced black writing ink.

6. T.G.S. x Sunderland Machine Works mk1 Rollerball. A coveted exclusive release is back in stock! The Sunderland mk1 is a versatile machined rollerball, and we worked with Sunderland on an exclusive bead-blasted matte finish in our red and black colorway.

7. Sunderland Machine Works mk1 Standard Line Rollerballs. In addition to our exclusive Sunderland machined pen, we’ve restocked on standard mk1 colors, including new dark green, gold, and turquoise finishes.

8. Pilot Vanishing Point “Golden Journey” 2026 Limited Edition. We were lucky enough to receive a limited allocation of this year’s exclusive Vanishing Point release, inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi.

9. Midori MD 5-Year Diaries. These hardbound diaries/journals allow a few lines for each day, with five years to a page so you can compare entries against prior years as you go. There are two different size formats.

10. Midori MD 3-Year Diaries. Find five years too intimidating? Midori’s multi-year journals also come in a three-year format.

Thursday Drops: So All the Exclusives Landed at Once! The T.G.S. Sunderland MK1 Returns!

It’s been quite the week here at T.G.S.! We launched our updated storefront on Sunday, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reception. Thanks for all the kind comments, and know that we appreciate them even if we haven’t been able to respond to each one. The best part about updating the website? We’re no longer limited by the number of products we can offer at any single time, so we’ve been listing new arrivals all week. Of course, the headliners are our exclusive inks with Tono & Lims: Classic Burgundy and Black Shimmer, but we also have a fresh shipment of T.G.S. x Sunderland Machine Works mk1 rollerball pens that hit the site today. Many of you have been asking about this restock, so we’re excited to announce it’s here!

In addition to the Sunderland pens, we have some quirky new additions like the Uni “&Knot” carabiner pen, the Jetstream Edge Multipen, and more.

1. TGS x Sunderland Machine Works mk1 Rollerball Pen. We’ve received a fresh shipment of our exclusive collaboration with Sunderland Machine Works - a matte black Sunderland mk1 rollerball pen with a dark red section.

2. Sunderland Machine Works mk1 Rollerball General Restock. We also received additional stock of the standard Sunderland mk1 rollerballs, including new colors including Gold, Turquoise, and a Dark Green that’s almost, but not quite, black.

3. TGS “Classic Burgundy” and “Black Shimmer” Exclusive Fountain Pen Inks (by Tono & Lims). Check out yesterday’s post explaining the story behind these inks if you haven’t already! We’re thrilled to have our own dark burgundy black exclusive, plus a cool black ink with red shimmer.

4. Uni Jetstream Edge Multi Pen. The Jetstream Edge line features a
   ballpoint writing tip as fine as .28mm, and now there’s a multi-pen version! Each pen ships with black, blue, and red multi pen refills.

5. Uni &Knot Carabiner Ballpoint. This latest quirky Jetstream release has been trending! It’s a go-anywhere ballpoint that can clip to a bag, belt, or basically anywhere you can use a carabiner. Accepts the SXR-80-05 Jetstream multi pen refill.

6. Opus 88 Harmony Fountain Pens. This new-to-me model from Opus 88 sits between the smaller Koloro line and the larger demonstrators. All Opus 88 Pens are Japanese-style eyedroppers, and you can read more about how they work in our prior reviews.

7. Opus 88 Koloro Ebonite and Koloro Acrylic Fountain Pens. The Koloro pens are slightly smaller than most of the Opus 88 lineup while also remaining a full-sized pen. Opus 88 recently released a series of colorful acrylic Koloro pens in addition to the classic ebonite versions.

8. Retro 51 Tornado Rollerballs and Twist Pencils. We’re happy to introduce Retro 51 to our lineup of brands, with three different Tornado Rollerball collections and a few of the 1.15mm twist pencils. We look forward to building out our selection of Retros as we move forward.

9. Uni Signo DX New Colors. We’ve added several new colors of the Capped Signo DX gel pens, including some of my personal favorites like the Green-Black and Golden Yellow.

10. Uni Signo RT Retractable Gel Pens. Uni Signo RT gel pens are restocked, including favorite colors such as Violet and Blue-Black! Love how the DX writes but prefer a retractable format? Be sure to check out the Signo RT.

Thursday Drops: Lamy and Pilot Restocks (including Specialty Nibs), Plus More Tono & Lims Inks!

This week we focused on bringing back some old favorites, including some that have been out of stock for a year or more. First up is the Lamy Logo Tri Pen, which is an excellent Lamy multi pen if you prefer a slimmer format. (Similar options include the Lamy ST and Lamy CP1 Multi Pen line.) We also have additional Lamy 2000 stock, including fine and extra fine fountain pens and 4-Color multipens.

As we noted on Tuesday, we also received a large shipment of inks from Tono & Lims, as well as a restock of Lamy bottled ink and Pilot Iroshizuku. But most exciting is that we have enough stock to be able to open our latest TGS Curated Box to the general customer base. There are a couple left, so if you’d like to participate in this round get yours soon.

The Nashville shop is open normal hours this weekend, from 1-6pm Thursday and Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturday. If you are interested in attending our upcoming On the Paper Trail Live in Nashville event in October, we strongly encourage you to purchase a ticket in advance, as we are unsure how many can be made available at the door.

1. Lamy Logo Tri-Pen Multi-Pen. By customer request, we’ve brought back the Lamy Logo Tri-Pen, which is a slimmer multi pen that takes universal D1 refills. This one features a stainless steel body with a matte black cap.

2. Lamy 2000 Fountain Pens. We have additional stock of all Lamy 2000 nib sizes available! Some of you have been waiting for the EF and F nibs to arrive, and they are here.

3. Pilot Custom 912 (FA Nib). The Pilot Custom 912 is now available from us in the softest nib that Pilot makes - the FA “Falcon” nib. The 912 version of this nib is slightly softer than the version on the Custom 743, so this nib will really show off multi-shading inks.

4. Pilot Custom 74 Lavender Fog. We have additional stock of Pilot’s latest North American exclusive release, including stock of the Soft Fine and Soft Medium nibs. Those looking for a nib to grind at an upcoming pen show should consider the double broad, which gives a nibmeister a lot of tipping to work with!

5. Lamy 2000 Multi-Pens (4-Color Ballpoints). Possibly our favorite multi pen of all time, the Lamy 2000 version comes in the same Black Makrolon as the rest of the Lamy 2000 line, and accepts universal D1 refills for maximum flexibility.

6. Tono & Lims Friendship Fountain Pen Inks. We’ve received a large shipment of the Tono & Lims “Friendship” collaboration inks, including the Bechorium series inks in all variants (yes, even the turquoise shimmer HexacyanidoferrateII).

7. Tono & Lims “Deep Field” Fountain Pen Inks. These two inks are some of the craziest multi-shaders we carry in the shop, and during our last shipment both sold out nearly instantaneously. We made sure to order more this time around.

8. Tono & Lims Remastered Limited Edition Fountain Pen Inks. Certain limited edition inks are re-released for the overseas market. This batch includes the “Beyond the Horizon” inks with coveted multi-shaders like “Turbulent Sea”.

9. Lamy Safari Meteorite and Meteora Pens. The latest Lamy Safari release includes two textured models in black and dark purple. We have a restock of the fountain pens as well as rollerballs.

10. Lamy Safari Mechanical Pencil “Kuru-Toga Inside”. The Japanese market has access to the Lamy Safari mechanical pencil that also includes Uni’s patented rotating Kuru Toga engine. We managed to secure a small supply of these. Available both online and in-store.

Thursday Drops: Tom's Studio Ori Highlighters, Lochby Refillable Fineliners, and More!

After a month of what seems like nonstop pen shows, we managed to get several different brands restocked, including popular pen show favorites such as Roterfaden, Lochby, and Onionbrand notebook covers. We also received a restock of Tom’s Studio refillable fineliners and markers, including the popular Ori double-ended highlighter markers. These are available individually or in sets of three (with six colors of ink).

UPDATE: As of this morning, the TWSBI ECO “Cherry Blossom” Fountain Pen is available for pre-order. Please be sure to reserve one as these releases have proven popular. This one is similar to Horse Year and will not be restocked.

1. Pilot Custom 845 Urushi in Prussian Blue. We have additional nib sizes of the Custom 845 Urushi fountain pen in stock, which features a gorgeous two-toned nib on a Japanese urushi lacquer body. Pilot does beautiful work on these hand-finished pens.

2. Tom’s Studio Ori Refillable Highlighters. Tom’s Studio has moved beyond the refillable fineliners to the highlighter, releasing a series of double-ended highlighter markers and six inks that allow you to customize your highlighter experience!

3. Tom’s Studio Lumos Refillable Fineliners. The Lumos remains a top seller, and we have a fresh stock of both the double-tipped and single-tipped Lumos pens. Learn more about how the Lumos system works in this post explaining refillable fineliners.

4. Tom’s Studio Fountain Pen Inks (Standard). Tom’s Studio has an expansive range of unique fountain pen inks that flies under the radar. There are excellent blues, greens, and browns, as well as a permanent pigmented black that’s quite popular. Nearly all are restocked.

5. Tom’s Studio Fountain Pen Inks (Shimmer). Speaking of underrated, Tom’s Studio’s Shimmer Ink line features some absolutely gorgeous shades. We have additional bottles of the popular Barrier Reef and Gold Lustre colors.

6. OnionBrand Leather Notebook Covers (A5). These locally handmade leather notebook covers have been popular beyond our expectations, mainly due to the quality of the workmanship. Available in both standard and distressed finishes, each notebook uses a cord-based system to hold two A5 notebooks.

7. Lochby Field Folio Notebook Covers. The Lochby Field Folio is restocked following the D.C. Pen Show! The Field Folio uses a zipper closure, as opposed to the classic Lochby strap. There is also an internal pen loop. Most sizes are now available, including the large B5.

8. Lochby Field Binder 6-Ring Covers. 6-ring binder systems are making a comeback, and we’ve restocked on Lochby’s canvas covers. Each Lochby binder ships with a pack of 68g Tomoe River sheets. A5, A6, and A7 sizes are available, with A6 and A7 roughly corresponding to Japanese Bible and Mini, respectively.

9. Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter Covers. Roterfaden is back in the popular B6, A5, and A4 sizes. We love these notebook covers due to how well they integrate with multiple notebook brands, as well as the convenient clip-based system that allows you to easily swap refills in and out of the cover.

10. MD Product Notebooks. We have a fresh shipment of Midori MD notebooks, including in the popular A4 and A5 sizes. Did I mention that these make excellent refill options for Roterfaden?

Thursday Drops: Roterfaden Restock and the Return of the TWSBI ECO Fluorite + Bronze!

Many of you have asked when Roterfaden Taschenbegleiters would arrive in sizes other than A5 Slim, and, well, they are here! We have many different cover options in sizes including B6, A5, B5, and A4 (smallest to largest). We’ve also restocked on Roterfaden notebooks. These are all available to ship now. We do plan on having more of the TGS_25 A5 Slim (I know people will ask), but these take time to produce and it will likely not be until later this month or next.

The TWSBI ECO Fluorite Purple + Bronze Fountain Pen is one of the more striking pens that TWSBI has released recently.

At long last, we have also received additional stock of the TWSBI ECO Fluorite Purple + Bronze Fountain Pens. This hugely popular release sold out nearly immediately when it was released, and has been on backorder ever since, so be sure to get yours if you’ve been holding out. We have also stocked up on TWSBI pens in most other models and colors, as available. Be sure to check them out online or in-store in Nashville!

1. Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter Notebook Covers. This month’s restock contains a wide array of sizes and cover material combinations, including leather/suede and leather/felt. We also have several A5 and B6 Taschenbegleiters in the soft leather variants.

2. TWSBI ECO Fluorite Purple + Bronze Fountain Pens. As noted above, we have the ECO Fluorite Purple back in stock! TWSBI stock has been unpredictable lately so if there is one you like and see, don’t sleep on it.

3. TWSBI Diamond 580 Clear Fountain Pens. The classic TWSBI piston filler is back in all nib sizes. This particular pen is beloved by ink connoisseurs since it showcases color well in the barrel.

4. OnionBrand Leather A5 Notebook Covers. We’ve received additional stock of the OnionBrand A5 leather notebook covers in popular Polished Saddle and Olde Walnut finishes. These sold out quickly in and after the D.C. Pen Show so we plan to keep carrying them going forward.

5. Leutchtturm1917 Bullet Journal Edition Notebooks. Planner season is upon us! While dated planners won’t arrive for another month or so (at least the brands we are carrying), we have undated and open-format planners, including this 120g Leuchtturm notebook with a layout specific to bullet journaling.

6. TRAVELER’S Notebook Passport Starter Kits. Yes, we have some TRAVELER’S Notebooks in stock, in the Passport size. Apparently TRAVELER’S expects the global supply shortage to ease in the coming months, and we hope to have additional options then.

7. Lochby Field Binder. Lochby has released a 6-ring binder system in multiple sizes, and we are restocked on the popular A5. While Lochby’s stock refills use excellent 68g Tomoe River Paper, you can combine one of these binders with a quality hole punch and use whatever appropriately sized paper you like.

8. Carl Refill Maker Ring-Binder Hole Punch. Thinking of exploring the world of ring binders but can’t find your paper of choice in a five or six-ring format? Make your own refills using this hole punch!

9. Uni Zento Flow and Zento Standard Gel Pens. We’ve added new colors of the Zento Flow gel pens with the aluminum body, as well as the matte barrel standard gel pens. Be sure to check out the Birch and Anthurium Pink Flow pens, as they are gorgeous with the etched metal barrel that adds texture and grip.

10. Colorverse Colorvent Calendars. We have a handful of Colorverse Colorvent ink Advent calendars remaining! Be sure to get yours before the season starts in a couple months. I know it’s early (I’d also prefer that these start later), but they tend not to restock once they are gone.
